Daddie Long Legs

Daddie Long legs is a rootsy, funk laden, rock quartet from outside Providence, Rhode Island. Starting out in 2004, DLL has been working hard rehearsing, playing gigs and winning over a loyal local following. This blend of high energy, groove driven rock music results from an eclectic list of musical inspiration-Bob Marley, Phish, Pink Floyd, Steve Vai, Cream, The Grateful Dead, etc. The band relies on its diverse musical influence in order to win over fans. The wide variety yet quality of covers thrown in during shows is always helping to grow the DLL fan base.

Tim Doyle is the guitar player as well as main singer/songwriter for the band. He has been playing bass and guitar as well as dabbling on the keys and drums since he was a young teenager. His musical influences include Steely Dan, The Grateful Dead, Phish, Metallica and Pantera. His sense of melody and accompaniment is truly unique and unparalleled when combined with rhythmic development.

Adam Smith is the bass player of the band and therefore provides the groove. Adam has been a student of music since early childhood, learning basic theory on the piano. Adam's musical influences include Sublime, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Phish, Vic Wooten, as well as bands like Nirvana......and all sorts of old hip hop and rap.

Dave Faustino plays the keyboard and guitar for the band. His addition to the band is an indispensable sound that has unlimited potential for experimentaion and inspiring awe. What's he going to do next? You will just have to come and see. Dave's musical influences include Dream Theater, Spock's Beard, Steve Vai, Pink Floyd, and a whole world of jazz.

Matt Nilsson A.K.A "Mongo" is the drummer of the band. His drumming style is an excellent mix of technique, style, and straight up rockin’ your socks off. He has been playing drums since his early teenage years as well as strumming a guitar on the side. His musical influences include Pink Floyd, Phish, Cream, and bands like NOFX and early 311.

These four dedicated musicians keep a regular practice schedule and always have new material in the works. Right now, the Daddie Long Legs has been playing out every weekend and preparing their new CD, “East Coast Hollywood” which is expected to be finished by the end of the summer.
