“Perfection fascinates, but it also quickly becomes boring. This is how Thomas
Steffen sees the jazz world and counters it with his album "Jazzperience" - "music
that celebrates the moment". Under the stage name ´´ctrl-alt-u, the Duisburg native
produced an unusual jazz album in LoFi acoustics that refrains from technical frills.
The pieces work with different rhythms, into which trumpet and saxophone parts
are interspersed. In their depth and catchiness, they are reminiscent of film music,
but according to the composer they are also suitable as a soundtrack for subway
rides.”
