Per festeggiare i vent'anni di attività il Chicago Underground Duo declina la sua ennesima versione e ci lascia un ulteriore testimonianza di potenza creativa, di visionarietà e di musica tout-court di altissimo livello. Nell'aprile 2016, durante una due giorni di esibizione al Cafè Oto di Londra Rob Mazurek e Chad Taylor invitano sul palco John Edwards e Alexander Hawkins e registrano i quattro lunghi brani presenti in A Night Walking Through Mirrors. Il risultato si diceva è eccellente.

Rob Mazurek is a remarkable musician, with a rare breadth and depth of expression. Off-hand, the only artist I can think of who possesses a similar emotional profile is Wadada Leo Smith. Like Smith, Mazurek can sear your ears and nerves one minute and soothe your soul the next, without any sense of strain or contrivance in the transition.
