Carey Frank
Originally from South Florida, I am now living in Los Angeles, CA. I am fortunate to be an active musician, working as a soloist and with other musicians of different size groups and various genres. I have performed, recorded, and worked with will-known musicians such as Marty Morell (drummer with Bill Evans), Marshall Tucker Band, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Lenny Pickett (SNL Music Director), T Lavitz (keyboardist from Dixie Dregs & Jefferson Starship), and Bob Mintzer. In March of 2011, I had the wonderful opportunity of traveling to Nepal to teach and perform at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory and in Chitwan. In July of 2012, I traveled to New Dehli, India to teach music clinics and perform.
I received my Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Piano Performance from the University of Central Florida and was a scholarship recipient from the Gold Coast Jazz Society and the Central Florida Jazz Society. Currently, I am studying to earn my Masters of Music in Jazz Studies at the University of Southern California, studying with Russell Ferrante (Yellowjackets), Alan Pasqua, and Peter Erskine.
