Bob Paskowitz

Bob Paskowitz is a saxophone player deserving of much wider recognition. He has played in big band, rock, blues and jazz combos for over 40 years in the Greater Hartford, CT area. Some of the ensembles that Bob has worked with include The Hornets, Don Mazza and the Jumpstarts, the City Lights Big Band, the Strictly Swing Big Band, Sweet Butter 'n' Jam, Beginnings, a Chicago tribute band, and Bob's own group, the Latin Quarter Jazz Collective. Among notable appearances, Mr. Paskowitz did a live recording with a band that included Anthony Braxton in 1999, and has appeared at the Litchfield, CT Jazz Festival, the Greater Hartford, CT Jazz Festival and the Hartford Jazz Society's Monday Night Jazz Series. Bob continues to work with fellow musicians Warren Byrd, Saskia Laroo and Sinan Bakir in his Latin Quarter project. The band did release a CD in 2005 entitled "Tesaros Del Corazon".
