Anthony Bauer

Tony began playing the saxophone in his school band at the age of 11. A slight obsession with Clarence Clemons, of E Street Band fame, led him unerringly towards the saxophone, that shining beacon of truth and groove. Attending university in Madison, Wisconsin allowed him to study with and take classes from composer/woodwind master Les Thimmig and bass legend Richard Davis. Living in Madison also allowed him the opportunity to study with the saxophonist/flautist Hanah Jon Taylor. Since graduation, he has taught instrumental music in the Madison area as well as keeping up a performance schedule in groups playing straight ahead, fusion, funk, rock, blues, merengue and salsa.
