akina-naomi is a vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist studying electric bass under professor Chuck Archard at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. she began singing at the age of 5, when she matched pitch during children's choir practice. her background is primarily in choral singing, having been a member of state, county, school, and conservatory choirs all throughout middle and high school. her additional music experience is attributed to many hours spent learning about music theory and history on YouTube.
