Adam Mansfield

ADAM MANSFIELD is a Toronto-based drummer whose explosive technique, deep pocket and fearless rhythmic imagination have made him a powerful voice in the city’s modern jazz community. Mentored by Brownman Ali early in his development, Mansfield grew into a trusted musical collaborator and is now the current touring drummer for the multi-award winning BROWNMAN ELECTRYC TRIO, as well as Nick Maclean's SNAGGLE and Sar Kemler's ETHNOSONIC. His work with SNAGGLE, a Browntasauras Records project, includes the forthcoming album "Foundation", and his combination of top-tier musicianship, versatility and professionalism has made him one of the label’s first-call drummers across numerous projects. Equally compelling as an accompanist and improviser, Mansfield brings precision, intensity and deep groove to music spanning modern jazz, funk, hip-hop, soul, drum’n’bass and contemporary electric-jazz.
