My Jazz Story
The first jazz record I bought was A Love Supreme so for a certified rock n roll kid you can only imagine the seismic shift in consciousness. I then went to the Salvation Army and, for a quarter a piece, picked up Brubeck's Jazz Goes to College, Garner's Concert by the Sea, and Miles' Kind of Blue. My advice to new listeners: be fearless.
