About the Album
Quattro is the fourth track of the album "Invisible": The leader focus his rhythmic research in this tune. "In Germany I worked with many musicians from the East, Turkey, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia. and I was always struck by their ability to play on the compound tempo, with the naturalness with which we Europeans play or dance on a 4/4. In fact this piece, despite its title, is a 15/8 (a bar of 4/4 and a bar of 7/8). It would like to be almost a poster for this group and is dedicated to my fraternal friend and great Ukrainian saxophonist Dimitry Markitantov."
