About the Album

The Michael Musillami Trio, featuring bassist Joe Fonda and drummer George Schuller, recorded this version of Part Pitbull on their second CD, Dachau. The CD is named after the title track, which was inspired by the irony that the infamous German city was the site of one of the trio's most transcendent and life-affirming performances. "Part Pitbull", penned by Musillami, features special guest pianist Peter Madsen, who originally recorded this track with Musillami on their 2002 duo CD of the same name.
