About the Album

No, No, No is a power waltz with a lot of lyricism in the melody. Terell takes the first solo, with clarity, lyricism and power, followed by Tim Warfield with a smart flurry of notes, and Kevin Hays with some funky passages along with Rodney Green (drums), and Greg Williams (bass). The band plays with a lot of precision on the this track(and album!)....also a lot of feeling...emotion. The end is a nice rewind moment. A fitting opening to Terell Stafford's latest effort which swings, grooves and pulses with modern post-bop panache. Terell's solo work is like a light in darkness.
