About the Album
Traditional music from Nesseby/Unjarga, set in a contemporary context. The references go to many of the musical dialects we are surrounded by: New Orleans jazz, contemporary music, Finnish songs, Russian folk music, ambient soundscapes and surreal tunes from children's TV shows. At the heart, however, lies the unique musical tradition of an ethnic and cultural meeting place in the far northeastern corner of Europe.
