About the Album
‘Nevando en Camagüey’, from our album ‘Caminos - a Latin American Landscape’, is an original song based on an inside joke between my aunts in Cuba. It is a captivating title, since it never snows in Camagüey. The lyrics speak about this beautiful city and region of Cuba. Yet there is a mystery in the legendary ‘tinajones’ of Camagüey! These large earthenware pots, a symbol of the city, are famous for collecting and storing rainwater. According to local folklore, drinking from them will lure you to fall in love with someone from Camagüey.
