Saydi's single, “Mariposa”, is best described as an abstract, Jazz-infused Soul groove. This piece is much more than a song; it is the forbidden fruit of Jazz music presented as poetry wrapped within a skillfully shaded, sensual vocal performance by Saydi Driggers. Paris Toon, wrote and produced this whimsical piece to brighten the colors of the rapidly dimming “Jazz” and “Singer/ Songwriter” genres and bring them back to the foreground wearing a new attitude.
