About the Album

For his second Origin release, drummer Rich Thompson gathers together a group of exceptional modern jazz talent for an energized set of standards and originals. With trumpeter Terell Stafford, pianist/organist Gary Versace, saxophonist Doug Stone, and bassist Jeff Campbell, the quintet reimagines jazz standards such as Kenny Dorham's "Lotus Blossom," Ornette Coleman's "Invisible," and Wayne Shorter's "This is for Albert," Great American Songbook classics such as "I've Never Been in Love Before," and originals from Thompson and Campbell.

Tracks

Lotus Blossom; Hoot Gibson; I Didn't Know What Time It Was; Camping Out; Less Is More; Invisible; It's So Easy To Remember; This Is For Albert; I've Never Been In Love Before; Step Lightly.
