About the Album

Big Ideas is the debut album from Beats & Pieces Big Band based in Manchester, UK. The title refers to the Street of Fame in Burghausen, Germany where the band won the European Young Artists' Jazz Award in March 2011 - the prize money helped fund the recording of the album and release on the band's own label, Efpi Records. Composed and arranged by Ben Cottrell and featuring Sam Healey on alto saxophone and Anton Hunter on guitar.
