About the Album

IMA IMA (Meg Okura & The Pan Asian Chamber Jazz Ensemble) I became an ima (“mom” in Hebrew) seven years ago. The title track Ima Ima (Track 1) is a celebration of womanhood and motherhood. The ensemble has gone through many transformations since the debut in 2006. IMA IMA is our 4th album, and the ensemble is now expanded to a 10-piece chamber jazz orchestra, featuring our special guests, Tom Harrell and Rez Abbasi.
