Drawing a band name from their shared love of Oahu's North Shore, home to many of the greatest surf spots in the world, The North is a Hawaiian-grown cooperative trio whose music blends elements of pop, world and classical - among other sources - into an improvisational mix that is utterly enamored of songful melody. "Great Ocean Road," an original composition by pianist Romain Collin, begins their debut album "Slow Down (This Isn't the Mainland)," out April 15, 2014 on Dowsett Records Romain Collin: piano
