About the Album
Originally from the Bavarian forests of southeastern Germany, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Flo Naegeli began his musical journey as a Bavarian folk accordionist at the age of seven. Raised in a household that valued music for joy rather than formal training, his early influences were rooted in tradition — until a bicycle accident in which he broke both forearms shifted his path to the electric guitar. By 14, inspired by Prince and Jimi Hendrix, he immersed himself in intense practice and self-study, later earning a degree in music despite initial resistance from his parents. A move to eastern Germany deepened his connection to the country’s history and set the stage for his evolution into a solo artist. Working largely alone, Flo embraced production tools like Logic to shape a sound that blends soul, folk, and indie with emotional honesty. “Love By The Hour,” the first single from his forthcoming Lush Life EP, is one of the most personal songs in his catalogue. Written about his complex relationship with his father — and shaped by the family’s experience with bipolar disorder — the track explores the intersection of love, distance, and unspoken truths. It’s a deeply human reflection on how mental health shapes connection, and the courage it takes to address inherited patterns without shame. Musically, the single wraps Flo’s soulful vocals, bass, synthesisers, piano, percussion, and electric guitar around the warm, dynamic drumming of Stephan Salewski. The result is a tender yet assured composition — conscious in theme, uplifting in feel, and grounded in lived experience. “Love By The Hour” is both a doorway into Flo Naegeli’s Lush Life EP and a statement of intent: honest, vulnerable, and quietly powerful. Flo Naegeli – Lush Life EP is out March 20th 2026.
