About the Album

The track Divinities of the Earth and the Waters is the title and opening track of the new album of the same name (released in May 2018, PDV records and recorded in 2016 and 2017). The title track starts as a response to Stravinsky's Exoticist Slavism and further explores South Slavic polyrhythms in a "festive" atmosphere. It starts as a festivity of the bringer of spring, Jarilo, Zleni Jura, and further talks about witches, real and unreal. The album further delves deeper into the idea of ceremony, finishing in a funeral ceremony (check the track Forgiveness Day). Solos by Sam Warner, trumpet and John Macnaughton, alto saxophone. Vocals Maja Rivic, Anabela Baric.
