About the Album
The RE: Project is unique studio recording that combines multiple performances by one saxophonist through overdubs and multitracking. Composer and performer Bryan Smith began this venture at Jack Straw Studios, a non-profit recording studio in Seattle’s University District, as part of their Artist Residency Program. With the aid of recording engineer Doug Haire, Smith embarked on the creation of intricate soundscapes and alluring sonic textures. The RE: Project is a compelling stereophonic experience.
