About the Album

Big tenor sound! “Big Horn Blues” is a reverent nod to the great blues and jazz club era of the past, brought into 2022 by a new artist, and a fresh energy for today. Ava Lemert, is not only the woman behind the big, bluesy, brooding saxophone on "Big Horn Blues," but she is also the "one-woman" jazz trio behind the melody. Ava wrote, produced, recorded, mixed, and designed the artwork as well. Written and recorded in the span of two days, you can almost see a smoky, dark supper club from a bygone era when you listen. Winner of the Best Jazz Song of March, 2022 https://www.theakademia.com/awards/2022/AvaLemert-BigHornBlues-0000352027.html
