An Empty House

About the Album

Brian Haas is the founding member and pianist in the internationally acclaimed Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey. For 20 years now, JFJO under the direction of Haas, has redefined jazz for a new generation of fans, touring the world and releasing a steady stream of ground-breaking studio albums. It's rare for Haas to step out under his own name, but in 2013 he joined together with the Grammy Award-winning drummer Matt Chamberlain--whose resume stretches from Tori Amos to Pearl Jam to Bill Frisell--to record a collection of songs entitled Frames. Due for release on LP, CD and digital formats October 15 via the delightfully eclectic and artistically revered Brooklyn-based record label, The Royal Potato Family. The duo collaboration with Chamberlain inspired Haas to also launch his first U.S. tour under his own name since 2005 for which he'll be joined by a variety of different drummers for shows around the U.S. The personnel on "An Empty House" is Brian Haas on piano and Matt Chamberlain on drums and percussion.
