Fiona's Comments

All young girls wishing to learn jazz guitar/piano would do well to ingest copious quantities of sugar corn crepes and practice A LOT. Inbar Fridman is that rare creature - a lady jazz guitarist, how exquisite. Of course you're going to like this, it's beautiful.

About the Album

Having performed together throughout Europe with several groups led by French bassist Oliver Gatto alongside drummer Billy Cobham, Israeli guitarist Inbar Fridman and French pianist Camelia Ben Naceur finally decided to direct their deep musical connection into the Time Quartet Project in 2010. With bassist Laurent Chavoit and drummer Stefano Luchinni, the quartet traveled to the foot of the Pyrenees in the south of France to develop and record this set of six lyrical originals, all while surrounded by the vast plains of the countryside and pampered with sugar corn crepes made by Camelia's father. Beginning her studies as a 16 year-old at the Rimon School of Jazz in Israel, Inbar moved to the US for six years where she studied at William Paterson University and performed around New York with Myron Walden, Will Vinson, Donny McCaslin, Aaron Goldberg, and Harry Whitaker among many others. Moving back to Israel in 2005, she tours regularly throughout Europe and Israel.
