Rosemary Clooney: Let It Snow: Christmas with Rosemary Clooney
Packaging concerns aside, if you love Rosie, you’ll love this. All of her stylistic traits are here. Her voice sports her controlled waver, and she tends to over-enunciate words. She’s casual and warm, like an old friend. The most amusing thing is her occasional changing of the lyrics. For example, on “Let It Snow”:
When we finally say ‘bon nuit’ Oh the fire burned down to embers
How I’ll hate going out in the sleet
But if you really care for me
Come on-a my house and warm up my feet!
But at our age – who remembers?
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
