The album was recordin live at DTC recording studio. The album recording is not edited in post production, no cuts or additional music score were added. This is a lve recording, the music is based on stuctured improvisation on Daniel Villeneuve rythme and personal musical directions.The tracks on the album appears in the sequences that they were played.
The Way We Are ...was born from six improvised music sessions between pianist Takeshi asai and percusionnist Daniel Villeneuve, eight pieces drifting out of one other like unfolding tableaux. Each track carries the breath of the moment before it, forming a living tapestry of instinct, emotion and some quiet discovery. This album is simply us, meeting the unknown and letting the music reveal itself the way it wished to be.
