https://dillonvado.bandcamp.com/album/the-table-trio-live-at-art-boutiki The Table Trio is my vibraphone (and marimba) trio featuring Jeff Denson on bass and Hamir Atwal on drums. This album is made of a few selected tracks from a live show in June of 2018 at The Art Boutiki in San Jose, CA. The Table Trio is really inspired by some of my favorite piano trios including but not limited to Bill Evans Trio, Brad Mehldau Trio, Shai Maestro Trio, Jacky Terrason, and The Bad Plus. The opening track is a modern jazzy arrangement I did of Bill Evans' Blue in Green, but other than that, the rest of the album contains original compositions by me. I've structured the tracks and titles in a way that gives almost a sense of narrative and internal journey relating to the worldwide pandemic. We all have a lot of time alone right now, and a lot of this music I wrote came from internal reflections, letting go of past selves, responding to immediate traumas, and wishing healing for yourself and everybody with a Prayer Forward (closing track). released May 1, 2020
