Original compositions and arrangements by the Simon Spang-Hanssen. "Tones for Mulatu" is a tribute to Ethiopian composer Mulatu Astatke "Ocantolo", "Kululú", "Zurla" and "Hip Step" forms a suite: Four Dances from a Nearby Planet, dedicated to Duke Ellington, and especially to his late suites. "Basie Street" is a greeting to the sound of Count Basie; ""Mood Morganfield" a tribute to Muddy Waters, one of my early musical heroes.
