Oslo, Norway – 17.12 – Norwegian jazz ensemble Nypan Trio is proud to announce their newest album, “slo glo”, a bold step forward in their musical evolution. Since their formation in 2010, the Nypan Trio has been a prominent force on the Norwegian jazz scene, captivating audiences with their melodic, energetic sound. Recorded in Ler, Trøndelag, “slo glo” is produced by Per Borten, the renowned rock artist from SPIDERGAWD, marking a creative shift that expands the trio’s sonic palette. This partnership blends jazz with fresh influences, redefining their artistic direction. “This collaboration has brought a new dimension to our music. Working with Per allowed us to explore new ideas while staying true to our melodic jazz roots,” Since their debut album “Directions” (2015), Nypan Trio has built a reputation for blending classic jazz traditions with modern expressions. Their second album, “Life of Three” (2018), further solidified their position as a creative force, leading to successful tours and festival appearances across Norway. Drawing inspiration from jazz legends such as Jimmy Smith and Brother Jack McDuff, alongside contemporary innovators like Aaron Parks, Julian Lage, and Bill Frisell, the Nypan Trio creates a soundscape that pays homage to tradition while exploring new horizons.
