Album Description

On ReturnRai Paz takes on the music of Sean Levitt, the North
American guitarist who left a strong imprint on the 90’s jazz scene in
Barcelona.

For the occasion, Rai Paz makes use of Sean Levitt’s own handwritten
charts of his compositions, many of which have never been recorded.
Rai was able to obtain these charts thanks to the help of trumpet player
Benet Palet and Carmen, both of whom were close friends of Levitt’s.

Return is a look at the figure and the heritage of Sean Levitt. It is a
retrospective of his music that makes this album a great tribute to the
master on the twentieth anniversary of his death.

Recorded in a single recording session at the UnderPool Studio and with Toni Saigi, Pau Sala and Joan Moll, Rai Paz stands out for his deep sound that defines him as a musician. This exquisite guitarist and composer shows us in this album his temperament and his ability to describe through music his experiences and emotions.
