Album Description

The album is a journey of crystalline, edgy cinematic clarity, transporting you into a world of glamour and titillation. An eclectic mix of songs that all sit under the heading of Jazz, from the driving, relentless bass line in the Be Bop influenced ‘More Time’ and the big band power horns of the title track, evocative of sleazy black and white noir-land to the gorgeous, deceptively gentle and sweet melody of ‘I Always Saw The Red Flags’, perfectly suited to a bath of Fiona’s voice. The album includes four bonus tracks, all recorded live during the COVID lockdown previously only released through video. Three songs are included from Fiona’s award winning ‘Live Session’s video album which brings new arrangements of songs from previous albums along with her song, ‘Smile’, recently released on video featuring 50 people smiling and recently recognized by the Global Music Awards. 'Red Flags and High Heels reflects on the emotional highs and emotional lows of this thing called life. The ‘Red Flags’ represent those things that just don’t sit right with you and although you are not always sure why and you don’t always know what to do about it. The constant analysis. People’s ignorance. Those things you know you shouldn’t do, but you do anyway and you have no idea why you did them until after it has all gone wrong. But also the good things but with the inevitable highs it brings the lows. The ‘High Heels’ represent fun, sex and strength. For many, high heels bring to mind something sexy and playful, while for others they represent power, strength and freedom'
