Album Description

This release features Luciano’s compositions for clarinet and guitar recorded live at the prestigious Sala NEOJIBA in Salvador, Bahia (Brazil) in November 2023. The Duo Campos- Luciano have presented their project to critical acclaim in Europe and in Brazil including concerts at Cambridge University, at Oxford, National Portrait Gallery of London plus tours in Portugal. Jose Henrique de Campos is the educational director of the NEOJIBA (leading South American youth orchestra) besides being a guitar virtuoso with several concerts as a soloist with orchestra or chamber ensembles under his belt. Luciano himself is a regular in Brazil where he has presented his work, as a composer and a performer, informed by his research on contemporary music practice. This EP album simply wants to celebrate Luciano’s return to Brazil and the idea took shape in November of last year when Luciano was on tour in Brazil and presented a whole week of masterclasses at the NEOJIBA plus a final concert (also video recorded) of his chamber music works performed by himself and his guests (including Campos on guitar).
