Album Description

Following an electrifying performance by Mark Giuliana's BEAT MUSIC project at the height of Portland's annual PDX Jazz Fest, I brought a legion of young lions from the local scene to share the stage with me in a late night performance with my fusion project, Djungol Jim. The concert served as a very late album release party for my album "Beach Jamz '89", and as a vehicle to premiere some of my new music. This album is the latter, but I posted the other EP as well. I feel like all of these talented musicians are like family to me, but "kinship" just didn't have the same ring to it, so please listen to these fellows exercise true mastery of the arts on this short album. All compositions by Machado Mijiga except for "Tributary" and "Tidal Ways" by Dario LaPoma. "Mary Had a Little Lamb" is a traditional folk song, arranged by Machado Mijiga _____ Recording Engineers: Jay "King Fader" Bozich [1-5], Molly Petit [6] Mixing Engineer: Machado Mijiga Mastering Engineer: Machado Mijiga Production: Machado Mijiga Album Artwork: Machado Mijiga
