Welcome to All About Jazz
Welcome to All About Jazz, an independent jazz platform built by people who love the music and believe in making it easier to discover.
Since 1995, we've grown from an online jazz publication into something much larger: a place where listeners can discover musicians, recordings, stories, live events, venues, radio and podcasts, photos, videos and more—and where the people who make, present, document and support jazz can connect with the audiences looking for it.
Discover
There's a lot here, and that's intentional.Every day we publish new articles, interviews, album reviews, news, music and other material while continually opening up more than three decades of archived jazz coverage for discovery. You can explore musicians and their relationships through Musician Orbit (see right sidebar), listen to Song of the Day, browse Radio & Podcasts, discover who was Born Today, or simply follow your curiosity through our search and discovery tools.
And when you're ready to hear jazz in person, Jazz Near You connects you with upcoming performances, venues, festivals and other jazz activity in your area and around the world.
Make It Your Own
Create a free All About Jazz account and the platform becomes more personal.Follow musicians and writers that interest you, receive notifications when people you follow publish something new, participate in conversations, maintain your member page and take advantage of features available only to registered members.
Musicians and jazz professionals can go further by creating or claiming musician pages, adding events to Jazz Near You, submitting news and music, contributing information and using the professional and promotional tools we've built specifically for the jazz community.
Help Us Build
All About Jazz and Jazz Near You have grown through the participation of thousands of writers, photographers, musicians, presenters, venue operators, broadcasters and readers. That participation matters. Every musician page updated, event added, article contributed, conversation started and piece of information shared makes the platform more useful for the next person who arrives.
And we're still building.
If you'd like to follow our progress, visit my Publisher's Desk. If you believe in what we're building, you can also support All About Jazz with a financial contribution.
Most of all, we hope you'll explore, participate and make All About Jazz your own.
All the best,
Michael Ricci
