Rebuilding from the ground up
Much of 2020 was spent pivoting the All About Jazz platform and making the necessary adjustments to adapt to the fallout of COVID-19. Like everyone else, All About Jazz was impacted and continues to feel the economic pinch of the pandemic. It is a precarious time, but we recognized what we were up against back in January and got to work.
We spent the year making sweeping changes to the technologies that power All About Jazz & Jazz Near Youmodernizing everything we do and rebuilding our platform to ensure sustainability. We've spent the last few months rewriting our code base so it works within a new and modern framework technology. It's easily the most ambitious project undertaken at All About Jazz, but we have a good team in place and I'm confident it will pay off in 2021.
Once the framework upgrade project is complete, it will open up a host of opportunities for our partners, our customers, our readers and our staff. We'll also shed the limitations that have made certain projects, up to this point, impossible.
With a project of this scale, there's always a risk, but it's one we must take and now is the time.
You can support our efforts by making a financial contribution to All About Jazz from here. You can learn more about what we are working on here.
