Ludovico Granvassu before a concert by the Dave Holland's Quartet (feat. Sam Rivers, Kevin Eubanks, Marvin "Smitty" Smith), 1992 SJU Jazz Festival, Utrecht, The Netherlands. Before 'selfies' were a thing, Dave Holland was quite amused by the process of taking this picture just before the start of the concert. Little did Ludovico know that thirty-four years later he'd be compiling a tribute to Dave Holland for All About Jazz!
