As of late last year, users are watching 1 billion hours of video on YouTube every single day. To put that in perspective, if you were to sit and watch a billion hours of YouTube, it would take you over 100,000 years.
To measure YouTube's meteoric and continued growth, it surpassed 500 million viewing hours per day just the year before in 2015, and 300 million in late 2014.
With more than a billion users, that's an average of close one hour per day of viewing per user.
