XUMANII (pronounced “zoo-mon-ee") has launched; it is live media production, marketing, and social networking site that encompasses elements of Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube, Ustream, etc. while also allowing users capability to monetize their online presence. The site lets users stream live footage in near perfect resolution directly to their personal profile page. To do so, users need no more than a standard camcorder and wireless enabled laptop. Additional features include the capacity for multi-camera productions and live editing, enabling artists to easily produce concerts. As well, artists can price and sell “digital tickets"--i.e. pay-per-view events--and sell advertising space alongside their live production.
