Now launched globally, Oh! Jazz is a live and on-demand subscription platform, which brings live jazz from iconic clubs around the world direct to the homes of global subscribers, turning their living rooms into instant live jazz venues.
Founded by Jesus Perezagua (Former President of Fox Networks Europe & Africa) and Dan Bessant (Former Head of Programming, Entertainment and Music at Foxtel), Oh! Jazz features a curated selection of over 150 new live shows each year from London, Madrid, Tokyo, Sydney and Melbourne, representing all jazz styles and influences, including bluesy roots, swinging bebop and Latin-infused jazz to name a few.
This August, Oh! Jazz will feature Grammy-nominated Stanley Jordan, one of the first artists to feature live on the platform from his Australian tour in Melbourne’s premier club, The JazzLab. Stanley Jordan’s performance will be available live on Saturday, 6 August at 8pm (AEST), with the opportunity to watch on-demand.
For $20/month, global subscribers will have a front row seat to Stanley Jordan and all live performances, with 35% of the platform’s total subscription revenue given back to the participating artists and clubs, empowering them to thrive in the industry they love.
Jazz guitarist, Stanley Jordan said: “It’s a great privilege to be sharing my Australian tour with the global jazz community through the Oh! Jazz platform. “To think that jazz enthusiasts can now experience a performance from anywhere in the world and know that their subscription is then reinvested into the jazz industry is an exciting prospect for the global music industry as a whole.”
To provide a state-of-the-art experience, each of the participating clubs are set-up with high-tech cameras to capture every angle, element and musical note of each performance, managed remotely by producers around the world.
