European wireless service provider TeliaSonera says its plans to have commercial roll out of 4G in Stockholm and Oslo in 2010.
TeliaSoneras goal is to be one of the first operators in the world to launch 4G, says the company. TeliaSonera has chosen Ericsson for the initial 4G city network in Stockholm and Huawei for Oslo.
3G networks can provide speeds theoretically ranging from 2.2 Mbps to 14.4 Mbps, compared to 4G which can range from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps.
It will be a joy (through 4G) connecting to services demanding large data volumes or fast data traffic. 4G will be suitable for media and interactive services for which timing on the second is essential.
