Weds 1-15: Jazz-funk guitarist Chris Cortez (of the band “Groovopolis") makes his 5th appearance at this newly opened venue. Cortez' has gained a significant following already, due to his hybrid jazz/blues solo performances, including a killer samba-based version of Dave Brubeck's “Take Five." On Weds 1-22, Chris performs with his electric trio. Also, this weekend the venue will feature Jimi Hendrix disciple, New Orleans based, guitarist E.J. Phillips and his trio, while Lousiana swamp-blues legend Coco Robicheaux launches the grand opening this Saturday, 1-18.
