In today's issue of USA TODAY, writer Elysa Gardner selected Kelli O'Hara's 'Wonder In The World' as her Music 'PICK OF THE WEEK'. Gardner praised O'Hara as “One of the most lavishly talented and versatile singer/actresses of her generation," and added that “O'Hara's soprano...gleams with tenderness and unforced awe." Look for additional USA TODAY coverage of Kelli O'Hara in the week ahead.

Kelli O'Hara's solo debut CD 'Wonder In The World' was released today on Ghostlight Records. O'Hara celebrated the release with a sold-out concert at Joe's Pub in NYC last night. A profile of Kelli will air on WABC-TV this evening, on the 5:30pm broadcast.

O'Hara's solo debut CD 'Wonder In The World' -- a collection of pop/contemporary music, arranged and orchestrated by Harry Connick, Jr. - will also be showcased at a May 12th In- Store performance at Barnes and Noble Lincoln Center.

USA TODAY - 5/6/08

Elysa Gardner Pick of the week: Wonder in the World, Kelli O'Hara with Harry Connick Jr.: Currently starring in the smash Broadway revival of South Pacific, O'Hara is one of the most lavishly talented and versatile singer/actresses of her generation. On this title track of her debut album -- one of several written by Connick, who co-starred with O'Hara in a 2006 production of The Pajama Game and also provided arrangements and orchestrations for the album -- O'Hara's soprano, at once earthy and pristine, gleams with tenderness and unforced awe. Little surprise that Connick sounds pretty wonder-struck himself.

'Wonder in the World' combines pop music and covers of Billy Joel and James Taylor, with original songs and familiar favorites, to create a 14-track collection celebrating the diversity of the American Songbook. The CD showcases O'Hara bridging the gap between contemporary music and beloved standards.

ALL MUSIC Praised: “What is surprising is the broad base from which O'Hara draws her material," and adds, “For show tune and lounge fans who like a touch of pop with the classics, and for Harry Connick, Jr. fans...Wonder in the World serves as a fine introduction to Kelli O'Hara."
