UpSurge! is a septet of piano, bass, drums and four “horns:" saxophonist and producer, Richard Howell, trombonist Angela Wellman, and jazzpoets Raymond Nat Turner and Zigi Lowenberg, who bend metaphors and split similes throughout the swinging ride.
