Tuesdays on the Terrace presents another inspiring season of free evening jazz concerts on the MCA's Terrace and Sculpture Garden. Hosted by local radio personalities, visitors are invited to enjoy cocktails, Puck's Express snacks, or a dinner buffet from Puck's Cafe while listening to Chicago's finest jazz musicians.
Dinner reservations at Puck's are recommended, call 312.397.4034. In case of rain, the event takes place in Puck's.
Hyde Park jazz master Jimmy Ellis marvels the audience with his talented range on the saxophone at the MCA Tuesdays on the Terrace. The Chicago native has had an illustrious career performing with other jazz legends including Nat King" Cole, Earl Fatha" Hines, Sun Ra, and Sammy Davis Jr. In a career that has spanned decades, Ellis has had an impact in the jazz community as both a musician and dedicated teacher. Ellis will be accompanied by musicians Steve Thomas on keyboard, Bugs Cochran on drums, and Jimmy Willis on bass.
