Caribbean heat is brought to Chicago this summer by Clyde “Lightning" George on the steeldrums at the MCA Tuesdays on the Terrace. Trinidad native George fuses his skills as a double tenor on the steelpan with the cool city sounds of jazz. A quick learner in his youth, George earned the name “Lightning" and impressed fellow musicians with his talent in blending jazz and Caribbean rhythms. The other members of George's Steelin Jazz band will join him, with Rob Block on keyboards and guitar, Richard Pillot on bass and Aras Biskis on drums.
