Tribute Concert to John Coltrane at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ

This concert will be a tribute to John Coltrane, whose birthday is today, September 23rd. In honor of this influential legend, a saxophone trio (Denis DiBlasio, baritone; E.J. Yellen, tenor; and Umar Raheem, soprano) will perform works associated with 'Trane as well as original compositions and arrangements from drummer Jim Miller's upcoming second CD, “...It's Another," along with Randy Sutin on marimba and Tyrone Brown on bass. The addition of vocalist/educator Suzanne Cloud guarantees the evening will be both entertaining and educational.
