DETROIT, Michigan. Rackham Symphony Choir in partnership with the Detroit Opera House proudly announces the return of the holiday classic Too Hot To Handel to kick off the holiday season with two performances on November 29 and 30, 2008.

Hailed as the holiday celebration that is ”too hot to miss”; the jazz-gospel 'Messiah' is the perfect musical celebration for the Motor City, combining decidedly Detroit inspired styles such as jazz and gospel.

There are two performances Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday November 29 at 8 PM and Sunday November 30 at 4 PM. Tickets are priced $18- $58.

New this year is a Family Pack, The Opera Express and a Patron Ticket. The Family Pack of four tickets for the Sunday November 30 show is priced at $100.

Transportation to and from the performances is available for only $15 on the Opera Express with pick-up locations in Troy and Dearborn. Other cities will be added. Check www.rackhamchoir.org and the Detroit Opera House box office for updates. The Patron ticket is $125 and includes the Artists Afterglow. As in previous years, there are discounts for groups of ten or more.

Tickets for Too Hot to Handel are available through the Detroit Opera House online at www.motopera.org , by phone at (313) 237-SING or through TicketMaster.com and by phone at 248-645-6666.
