Saxophonist Tim Warfield will be leading a super charged group this weekend to celebrate his “New" release on the Criss Cross label entitled One For Shirley. The CD is a tribute to the late Shirley Scott, the legendary jazz organist of whom was Warfield's friend and mentor.
Performances will be held this Friday, June 27, and Saturday, June 28th, at the Bohemian Caverns located at 2001 Eleventh St., N.W. Washington D.C. 20001. The group will feature young trumpet sensation Brandon Lee, the virtuosic Pat Bianchi on Hammond B -3 organ, groove master Daniel G. Sadownick on percussion, and fiery drum dynamo Dana Hall.
