Release Dynamic Acoustic Jazz and Jam Band CD

From a circle of his San Francisco Bay Area friends, TIEDYE KEITH RECORDS is excited to announce their latest CD; TIEDYE BLACK's Thursdays at TDK's - a co-production between TIEDYE Keith and Vernon Ice BLACK - a collection of toe tappers and finger snappers in a traditional jazz quartet style that will also appeal to jam band and jazz fusion enthusiasts. The CD is slated for a July 1st, 2008 release with an intense radio and print promotion campaign. Look for features in RELIX MAGAZINE June 2008 and JAZZTIMES July/August 2008.

Recorded over several Thursdays, the TIEDYE BLACK sessions were a little musical sanctuary in the midst of the hectic lives of working musicians; like a weekly musical summer BBQ with no one leaving hungry; while creating a glorious masterpiece of musical expression; so rich in texture and feeling, one can sense in some way the profound truth contained therein; a true expression of their joy of music from a close camaraderie of life long friends - who just happen to be world class musicians, to boot!

Jazz radio stations are already playing TieDye Black's Irving Berlin penned “Russian Lullaby" which features lead vocals by TONY LINDSAY, 11 time GRAMMY AWARD winner and 15 years lead singer with *SANTANA*. “Kerlazzo", an original TDK creation, showcases the percussion work of KARL PERAZZO, Carlos Santana's world famous percussionist. Tiedye Keith's coterie of musicians on “TIEDYE BLACK" include:

Vernon Ice Black - Co-Producer & guitar (Herbie Hancock) Tony Lindsay - vocals (Santana) Bill Ortiz - trumpet (Santana) Curtis Ohlson - bass (Ray Charles) Ken Harrill - guitar (Neil Young) Billy Johnson - drums (Santana) Karl Perazzo - percussion (Santana) Eric Crystal - sax (Boz Scaggs) Marquihno Basil - percussion (Mariah Carey) An additional highlight on TIEDYE BLACK's “Thursdays at TDK's" is the work of the legendary sound engineer TOM FLYE ( original Woodstock LP, Sly Stone's Fresh LP, Rick James' Street Sounds). With an inclusive and independent spirit, TIEDYE KEITH RECORDS' musical talents continue to win out as their CD release, “PORTRAIT OF CLAUDINE" made it onto last year's Grammy Ballots. TIEDYE BLACK's “Thursdays at TDK's" continues this tradition of free-form Bay Area music excellence.
